Getting a new TV. Thoughts on the TLC brand?
Looking at this one. Gets good reviews. Was looking at some cheaper ones at Walmart (on sale for under $500) but I think I'm willing to go up to $1000 for the right deal/TV....and this might be it. But I've never had TLC brand TVs.

I have a TLC good TV good picture the Roku works great but if you have Dish
or DirectTV the remotes cannot be programmed to control on/off, app selection or sound. May be the case for other cable remotes as well. I have to use the Dish remote to change channels on Dish and also use the Ruko remote to turn on the TV and control the volume. I liked just having one remote but it is not to be.

I have my son's old TLC. Replaced a working 90s 27" Sharp. Not smart, okay.

TCL is fine, most TVs these days are disposable for the price point
They make some higher end screens depending on the model and $. I went cheap for my outdoor TV. I just picked up a Pioneer 70" at best buy today for $280, it is made by TCL. Prime days is two days away, you may want to see what deals they offer ** Edited by kjhokie at 6/21/2026, 1:34:12 AM
