My guess: Wenzel, Wells, Trent, Latham, Suffren/Hurst
The newest one (Dimara?) needs to learn the system and she just got on campus. Depending on her skills she may get a starting spot by January.
Regardless of who starts, I think pretty much everyone is gonna get a lot of minutes. Carleigh may be out there nearly 40 mins most games, but I bet MANY get 15 mins or more. If we get a PG who stands out to replace Mackie FT, that person will also get > 25 mins per game. But that will take some time to see which cream rises to the top. Who knows - could Wells or Suffren or could be Sears or one of the new freshman (the Italian woman or the other one that came from HS - cannot remember her name)
Personally, I think our forecourt is gonna be awesome, but early on we may have folks who get into foul trouble, limiting their minutes in a game. Always happens with less experienced bigs.
Possible dark horse - Hurst may be a shooter like Baker and extremely valuable. Cannot wait to see her on the court.

She may (or may not) have known him, but if he was a sports enthusiast, he
for sure would have known exactly who she was as starting PG on a good ND team coached by a future Hall of Famer....

Confusion about ticket purchase
So, I selected my reserved seat back in April. Today an email came out saying that seats go on sale June 3. So what does that mean? Do I need to get back on the system June 3 to pay for that seat I already picked out?
I am not an idiot, yet this whole seating process confuses the hell out of me.

I think Jenkins can be a beast under the basket. She is strong like Rose
with 2 more inches of height. But she is still learning and last year did not have a diverse skillset. Reminds me a little of Gurdak from MBB. Not fast or athletic, but tough. For some reason I really feel she can develop into a formidable presence in the paint. I am really cheering her on....

I am sure this has been discussed, but curious - why does the softball (and
baseball) team sometimes use the old VT logo on caps, jackets, uniforms? I like it and it brings back memories (logo used when I was in school at Tech). BUt just seems odd that this program has adopted it somewhat. I am surprised the university brand police even allow that.
PS. I still miss "VPI" as well.....

Well, remember CMD did not recruit Baker and Nelson. So maybe there was a
slight mismatch. I don;t think anything awful, but just enough that these player wanted to try out other waters. Tenn. just went through something similar, but that situation looked like a HUGE culture mismatch between the people recruited by the last coach and the culture with the current coach.
I think it is encouraging that Samyha and Carleigh seem to have embraced the culture Coach Duffy espouses, even though she did not recruit them.

Glad she came - gives us depth. Still, seems like an odd choice.
The coaches are not following on instagram, which is unusual. I wonder if she was on anyone's radar or if she just wanted to come to VT and we had scholly space and could use her skills, so that just seemed like an opportunistic fit?
Regardless, I hope she is is happy here and does a dynamite job on the team. Welcome Natt!

Seems so quiet. Glad the team is getting a well deserved break, but I am
already looking forward to next year! I guess we will be waiting till July before we start hearing about summer fitness. Good thing football will be gearing up in 60 days as well. A good diversion to help me make it to WBB season!

If NCAA could somehow limit transfers or go back to sit out a season,
staying with a school a little longer might make a come back. Great for Duffy et al, great for the fans. Would need to somehow also make it great for the athlete - maybe a retention bonus for sticking.
BTW, do you call the men's players "boys" or do you actually use the proper term of "men"?

And yes, I go to every game. ACC or not. Weekday or not. What I do not do? I do not give much of a crap about football. So I do not get HC "points" for FB tickets. And I don't think that should matter for a WBB game seating.
There are people who get the season tickets with good seat and then post them on seatgeek for HIGH prices. They really don't much care about attending a game. If the ticket sells, hey PROFIT!. If not, who cares because they were not that expensive anyway. Pretty douche move.
You are a real piece of work if you can't see that there is something wrong with this picture.

Definitely should have more than 2 tier (GA, vs Res) pricing. Higher $$ for
the more premium seats. I know a lot of folks who buy 4 or 6 seats "just in case we have guests" or "just in cae the kids want to go". Then these are left empty a large % of the time. If the seats costs more, I think people would be more thoughtful about buying the seats they think they would actually use.

Some personal good news I guess.... After donating all I could afford
and signing up for every extra point I could get, I managed to get one of the last reserved seats in Cassell for next WBB season. Not a very good seat, but at least I have one and you folks don't have to listen to me whine all year about being shoved into GA yet again. I go to every single game for pete's sake!
They still need to change the way this is done. Hopefully this year there won't be as many "sold out" premium seats sitting empty.

St. Rose will be a grad student so
In her last year. She will play tons with us and be a focal point. I think fans will really appreciate her. At ND she will be a nothing burger to fans and media due to ball hog Hildago. Also I think our team will be a good one and could give ND a real run. Come on St. Rose - be a Hokie!
