In 5 years, Bob Chesney...

would have won natty at a SEC school and VT would have fired their 3rd coach after Beamer and be stuck with millions in buyout. It's not going to be James Franklin since he would be only a 10+ win coach at another SEC or ACC school. No natty. VT would have missed on all the high profile coaches and hired another coordinator, who got Ballein's blessing.
