We hung with LSU until we couldn’t and LSU never really hung with Alabama (who may be the best team in the country, we will find out). How far off is VT from getting past regionals (and super regionals) and able to get in and compete in the WCWS? What pieces are we missing? I know we have some great recruiting classes coming in so maybe the talent is there and just needs experience and development. Thoughts? Thanks and Go Hokies!

We played 1 out of the top 5 seeds in the ACC tournament in the regular season. We missed FSU, Stanford, and Louisville, all tournament teams. From the ACC, we only played 3 NCAA tournament teams during the regular season. So many teams and you only play 8 schools out of 15, it makes accurate seeding difficult and you can miss some of the best schools in the conference.

How many times have we left the bases loaded with 2 outs this season? I feel like a ton. Getting a quick 2 outs and then stringing together hits but then getting an out before we can bring anyone home. I know he has moved the lineup around but seems we could better place some of these batters to prevent a lot of that.

hearing other bad mouth it like visiting fans or people on social media. It looks bad and is in desperate need of replacement or updating, including hot water.

facility nice like that for our ladies. While we have great indoor and support facilities, the look, the size, and age of TSP just makes us look poor. Our ladies deserve a nice, comfortable and large stadium to play in. Maybe one day...

disappointed but not surprised lol. I'd love VT to be able to grab someone like Canady even if just for a season and try to get the 0 National Championships off our back. I just want us to be great or elite at one thing (really everything but I'll take one) lol.

Would be easy to move on. I think it’s ok to ask if there is something wrong here. Love these girls and the team but what is preventing VT from taking the step to elite? Each year we are right on it and can’t seem to get over it. If the best players stayed, it would make us feel like we are getting there but watching them leave each year certainly makes you step back and ponder what’s going on.

She's thought Kenny was the best and they developed a bond. Even Kitley congratulates UK on their successes. Several former players have all gone to UK games. Doesn't mean she hates VT. I know she took a lot of crap when she left from VT fans, likely left a sour taste in her mouth about VT but she has a degree from VT and something she doesn't have at UK, a conference championship and Final Four run. No reason to hold it against her, no different in many who go to VT undergrad and postgrad somewhere else. I wish she stayed for all 5 years but I wish she and Kitley were permanent players here as well. We got lucky having Kitley for 5.

LSU, they are good, tired of VT always coming up short in big games or flat showing in big games, when will it ever be our turn?

I wish they go to more of a bigger banners of bigger font that are easier to read.

If they get healthy during the season, watch out! ND tough without them and maybe unstoppable with them

play a more aggressive defense as well and not just emphasize offense. If Duffy can start landing some of the big recruits she is getting to visit, VT will be rolling!

coming. Some height in the ACC and while outside shooters are great, would be great to have another option or someone able to play defense on some of the 6'5"+ 5's in the ACC. Duffy think Rose can play that, I know she did in the B10 but was surprised how she did even after Kitley got hurt. Any insight?

she tore her ACL against ND last season. Sat out this entire season rehabbing. Size of a guard/wing but great instincts and can rebound like a PF.

emotional and was smiling when the Maulkey was talking to her in the post game handshake. Maybe just how she or Australians can deal with those things. She mentioned there were lots of tears and emotions in the locker room but she was able to hold it together on the court.

devastated how her career ended but also the uncertainty if the injury would close the door on her being drafted and on her playing in the WNBA. The uncertainty the injury caused, I'm sure she was a nervous and emotional wreck.

Some of the top transfer level players in the country? I know she prefers a smaller lineup but with the ACC having some height, would think we would want at least one or two players that could guard 6'5"+ type players for those games or else they just destroy us inside like we did to everyone else in the ACC

While I think we upgraded with a better X's and O's coach and I know fans hate GA and CS went with him, I will say, how Kitley has handled this has shown she maybe the greatest Hokie of all time. She has handled her injury, end of her VT and playing career as well as the team and people she loved moving on. Certainly they have seen social media, GA's mom has and lashed out as well as Chrissy Brooks, she is still Hokienation through and through and can't wait to celebrate that tonight and forever. Hopefully we can get some great transfers in and pick back up where recruiting was, and we have EK, KB, GA, and many others to thank for you. Remembering what @ChrisColeman said about Fuente flirting with Baylor, in 5 years we maybe happy this happened, I feel the same way about this, I think in 5 years we may be happy this happened. CKB was great, won't downplay that but there were several losses where we got flat out coached, I don't think we will see that with CMD. Go Hokies!

recruits intact. Thats why I thought Shawn Poppie would be the perfect hire as he has all the in with the current recruits and current roster as he helped bring them here. They may stay to play for him but someone they are unfamiliar with, they may choose to follow Kenny.

Poppie and reached out to him to start the discussions. So Poppie accepting the Clemson job makes me feel better about the possibility of CKB leaving (or not leaving).

Also, no PG on that list for next year, while we have Suffren, Nelson, and Wenzel, have to wonder if that is a good sign that Amoore returns. She posted pictures from this season on her IG yesterday and the final picture was a quote from a song that said " There comes a day, When you're gonna look around, and realize happiness is where you are" If GA returns, if Davis commits, should leave us 1 more scholarship, assuming everyone on the team who can return does. ** Edited by VTMedic513 at 3/12/2024, 7:47:54 AM

Someone posted weeks ago they made a comment to someone in AD department or with the school and said 33 needs to be retired and hang in the rafters and they made a comment that it was a done deal and would happen. I think they said it was a "no brainer".
