Had fun In Charlotte yesterday despite the split
This was the first VT softball game I've seen and got to take my two teenagers. And after 25+ years on these boards I met @laphroaig and @VTChip as well! The TSL jersey with the handle on the back was a giveaway lol.

They're consistently asking insightful and reasoned questions too.
I get annoyed when reporters ask questions in a leading manner to elicit the answer they want.
"How impressed were you with so and so's defense?" vs "Assess how so and so played defense tonight". The latter is way more likely to get a quality answer.

I read John Feinstein's "Where Nobody Knows Your Name" and it really paints a picture of how tough it is.

Interesting, and I wonder what analysis led to the 4 hour radius?
I'm sure there are states where a majority of alumni are 4+ hours from the school, yet constitute a bulk of the viewing. Maybe not ACC schools though ...
Unbundling will continue to push us towards a subscription sports model.

Frustrating game, but on a positive note, Collins offense was solid again
I know we've bashed his offense plenty this year, but feels like something clicked the last few games. He's certainly a better slasher than jump shooter, and maybe he's taken a more concerted effort to attack that way?

I think we're fortunate to have a back loaded schedule
While you'd love to have more hay in the barn at this point, I'm not sure we had our rotations dialed in until recently. Looking down the stretch, we have one of the hardest schedules remaining of the contenders, but are in a much better place to take those on.
