Appears as if CMY's policy of letting student media talk first is sticking:
Student media spoke first once again after the St. Joe's win. Interestingly, the first four who asked questions are all members of 3304 Sports -- shoutout Bill Roth and Evan Hughes! (Five of first six, if you count David, a 3304 alum!) ** Edited by thomash05 at 11/13/2025, 1:17:15 PM

CMY MO. First, get students into the mix, and, second, stick it to Berman.
In a good-natured, friendly, inarguable way.

Bill Roth is building the sportscasters of tomorrow. I love him in the...
...booth announcing, but his greatest contribution is the program he's built at Virginia Tech! That program is really putting out quality personnel! Guess we should also thank Syracuse for educating Bill Roth.

Might be biased since some of them are my friends but the output is crazy
Giovanni Heater, Carter Hill, Kyle Marchak, Kevin DiDomenico, Bailey Angle, Evan Hughes, etc., etc. The ones we've got in the pipeline are coming along really strongly too. Some of them: Landon Weaver, Braden Schenck, Cody Wagner, Robbie Ackerly and Robert Bateman (who was on the 2026 Jim Nantz Award watchlist).

You forgot Jake Lyman and Katie Adams, though Katie isn't fully focused on
sports broadcasting at this point. Still involved in sports though.

If they are persistent and know the right people, yes. Definitely takes ..
patience and some good breaks though.

They're consistently asking insightful and reasoned questions too.
I get annoyed when reporters ask questions in a leading manner to elicit the answer they want. "How impressed were you with so and so's defense?" vs "Assess how so and so played defense tonight". The latter is way more likely to get a quality answer.

The one defense I will give is that the reporters have deadlines
And they likely already have the core pieces of their article written. So any questions are just to get quotes that expand on their story. It’s a different mindset compared to open ended questions that could lead to unexpected answers.

I'll take this as a compliment since I asked the first question in both lol
