The next Fletcher McGhee

Seriously he probably won’t play a lot but he has some range. The Hokie X page highlights shows him making some bombs.

I think Heidi will start but regardless he and Sagina will split minutes

Otherwise I think you’re spot on. I think we’re going to need another shooter and a developmental PG like when we got Hammond a few years ago.

Former Hokie Rodney Brown committed to Seton Hall. Had a decent year at LMU

I thought he showed flashes in his short time here but clearly not enough and was injured a lot

San Diego is further and Heidi is coming. I think Elohim is a Cali kid too

from his HS days. It’s all about the Benjamins. ** Edited by millmtnhokie at 4/30/2026, 10:50:40 AM ** Edited by millmtnhokie at 4/30/2026, 10:59:51 AM

He has been a two year starter for a program that has been better than VT

He shared minutes with Gwath. Good post defender very good on the glass. Decent passer. Not sure who else we’re looking at that we can afford that would be any better. 5’S ain’t cheap.

We have decent starting 5 already.

Hammond TJ Elohim Mani Heidi SJ and Atak will get a lot of play. Davis may contribute 5 minutes. Need backcourt/wing depth. Need another 5. I’m fine with Heidi starting if need be but a stretch 5 would be ideal.

Portal floodgates opened in Chapel Hill. Terrence Brown and Matt Able

Possibly Seth Trimble and probably Vesaar. Interesting to see how Neo will fit in with all that talent.

NBA draft is coming up soon. I believe teams might regret passing on Caleb

Wilson at 2. Dybantsa is number one but I would be tempted to take Wilson over Peterson and Boozer. If Peterson has the want to then he will be fantastic. Boozer’s limited athleticism is why I think Wilson might be better pro. This is a crazy deep draft and the first 10-12 chosen could have impact and they’re freshmen. And the β€œolder” guys are really good too.

Travis Branham said Papa John paid 8 million package deal for Shelstad

and Bidunga. If that’s correct and Branham is connected so it probably is true then it sounds like Louisville got a bargain.

Alexander’s offense is made for a guy like Schutt

Lots of motion quick passes and lots of threes. Cade Tyson thrived there and struggled at UNC. Good offense for spot up shooters ** Edited by millmtnhokie at 4/13/2026, 4:17:25 PM

When he entered the portal I thought he would be a good fit at a school

like Belmont. Well he ends up at the school that hired Belmonts coach. Good place for him.

Rechsteiner to K-State. He will be joined by Brock Vice who played at

Blacksburg and is the son of Vance. Jamie Kaiser to Richmond. Thought we might make a push here

Winters Grady from Michigan is in the portal. A wing and knock down shooter

And he has already suffered a broken 5th metatarsal in high school so he has that behind him. Kinda TIC but He is applying for a medical redshirt because the foot injury has lingered but if healthy he would be a good fit at a need position

Let’s go for the all name team from the portal

Po’Boigh King Sam Houston Tennessee Rainwater LeMoyne Finley Bizjack Butler TIC but all are decent players. Bizjack will be highly sought after.

I may be in the minority but I think Malone will do well. He’s a good coach

and he’s very connected with the top agent overseas. Some of the best European players may be in Carolina blue. Worked for Illinois

I believe Frazier recruited Powell to West Va. Maybe we reach out

If Malone wants them back he could flash that championship ring and persuade them.

I would think they wanted to keep Haralson and Burton if he’s healthy

You could build a nice team around those two and Cole Certa and Shrewsbury. Get a few guys with some size and they would win some games.
