My boy and I watched a postseason Sooners game last night...
so we could watch Atak play. One of his best games of the year, so hopefully it is a glimpse of what we will soon see. It could be a fun switch for us, a really tall dude that has a nice form and consistently drains 3s (like Schutt but taller with a better arc). Also, unlike Lawal, he has been playing longer and has a confident/limited dribble drive. Good hands. Good posture too (measures at 6'9" and actually stands at the same height, unlike slouching/sulking Avdalas). Since he doesn't slouch, dude seems bigger than originally advertized at 6'9", a little bulkier too, maybe 210 lbs (not 192 lbs),
Here's a link to the full game replay for anyone who is interested. Note, he also had a very acrobatic dunk in first half. Last edit, I don't recall anyone getting around him. He has quick feet and is so tall that the other team avoided playing offense against him entirely, from what I recall.

. . . being true? Likely the flattest shot I've ever seen from an advertised three-point specialist.

Had the flattest shot I’ve ever seen. He was money. Rarely missed.

he refined his shooting form in the nba by raising his release point

looked at old video but it seemed like his shot got flatter and flatter the more he struggled.

His form was nearly perfect though despite lack of arc/ball rotation. Jayden Young also had a really flat shot that somehow would go in from time to time.

I should know. 😆
The more effort he tries to put into jump higher the more he may fling it forward flatter

Or was it perhaps a matter of needing a quicker release vs more athletic opponents?

Or less than 100% due to any type of lower leg injury

Regardless, it happened very suddenly so I doubt it was weak or dead legs. Injury? Always possible. Fans greatly underestimate the impact of injuries - particularly those which aren't highly publicized.

He was on the scouting reports. He didn’t get much time to shoot.

guarding guards. Since he's so tall and agile, he's a solid defender.
On the offensive side he hit a lot of 3's (with great form). Also, I'm pretty sure I saw a stat that only 29% of his shots are FGs. At the same, he can take a couple steps into the lane and dunk quite easily at 6'9".
