Listening to Willie and Basch this morning
They are hinting at a big time hire to replace Haught who will move to a non-coaching role or possibly with SERTC. I’m not sure Waltz would fit that description…

They also mention that Haught is likely not leaving but rather shifting positions, possibly to full time SERTC coach in lieu of on the school staff.

Last I heard Haught demolishes everyone in the wrestling room.

figure it was to coach at Cornell.
Was there a Hokie approach that caused Yianni's delay??
btw..Do we need Yianni if we already have James Green?
This is alot more fun than last yr either way..

An olympian and two world medalists would be a pretty credentialed staff on the recruiting trail

Yianni alluded to a delayed coaching announcement. Tanelli leaving created an opening and people were connecting wishful dots.
I really like the Green hire.

Listening to Basch and Willie today it sounds like Shapiro looking to RS and maybe NC State/Nebraska.
I think Green is a better pull than Yianni. With Haught staying on in some capacity we don't need a dedicated upperweight guy but still like the idea of Ty or Thompson.
