Overall team thoughts after the Scuffle
125 - Eddie is really doing fantastic. The only time he has ever looked close to this good is his AA run.
133 - I'm officially worried. He has only wrestled one good guy and lost. He also hasn't wrestled since mid November and took the Scuffle off as well.
141 - Hard to tell. His upside is certainly as high as it has ever been. He gave Mendez serious problems, but doesn't really have any AA quality wins yet. His match against Jack Ryan later this year will be big.
149 - Not sure what else you can say about him that hasn't already been said. He does get two big ACC tests which will be good to keep him sharp
157 - Did we get Bryce Andonian back and I missed it? Sure could have fooled me.
165 - Stewcrew was right about Mac getting the spot. I don't know if he is going to do much in March, but I think it would have been unreasonable to expect him to going up so much wight in a short period of time. Hope he keeps getting better and can peak at the right time. Still promising to see a freshman starter there.
174 - A little worried about him too. We were expecting a surefire AA. Now it isn't looking that way. I suppose he was banged up. Hopefully his issues at the tail end of the scuffle is a result of conditioning that will come back soonish
184 - Glad to see TJ back and in the W column. Certainly not in his AA shape, but that was the first good sign we have seen from him this year. He still has a couple of months to get there . It will be tight, but it can still be done.
197 - Great problem to have. It was looking like Smith's spot for sure for a bit, but Sasso certainly isn't going away. Great present and future.
285 - Love seeing a freshmen HWT doing that well. Strength will limit him against elite guys this year, but his offense is so much better than most big guys. Future stud for sure.

I would love to see him mow through the regular season schedule and into the tournament!

Weigh management for those 10 lbs or more above weight class should start cutting 2 months in advance. IMO to have a quality practices and to maximize training you should be within 10 lbs start of season and never more than 5 lbs off weight during season. I know, I know....this is not "practical". Personally I underwent 20 lb swings and it crushed my energy and training. I might as well not have been in the room.

Some good some bad:
125) As you said Eddie looks best form have seen him in season. Good chance at AA
133) Hasn’t wrestled enough yet. Hopefully when healthy can get back towards AA
141). Sam definitely has a shot at AA which wasn’t a given
149). Caleb national champ contender
157) Hipo has outperformed my expectations. Legitimate AA contender
165).Church is doing well Good chance to be qualifier
174) Wolak had been the scuffle. Really bad scuffle weekend. Hopefully just a bad weekend. But a little worrisome
184 ) TJ had a good weekend. I think he will be AA contender by March
197). I think Smith and Sasso both have a chance at AA with a good tourney. Both have wrestled well. I thought Sasson had a good weekend coming off injury
285) To me Mullen and Catka are both likely just out of AA. That said with right matchups they might make it.
We have 9’kids who could AA potentiallly
One for sure.
Realistically 3-5 (Too optimistic???)

Realistically, I think we will be lucky to get 3 AA this year. But I am hoping I am wrong and several surprise on the upside.

I am like you...just don't see the consistency yet to say any higher than 3

There are no guarantees, but Henson is as close to one as you can get. I'm not highly confident in anyone else, but give close to 50-50 odds to Eddie, Sam, Raf, Wolak, TJ, and Andy. Mcgonagle could join that group, and Mullen has an outside shot too. That projects a lot of improvement for TJ, but we saw how good he was last year. At least two of those guys are going to punch their ticket.
