Find it BS that athletes get suspended for gambling...

while schools are making a big chunk of their revenue from it. Watch any college game on TV, the biggest sponsors are sports betting, that money is what pays these huge media contracts. Iowa was one of the first states to legalize sports books since they already had about 15 casinos in the state. As long as they aren't betting on their games, why are the athletes subjected to restrictions that other students or faculty at the school aren't? And I'm not a gambler, think it's one of the dumbest things there is, but if it's gonna be legal and the schools are gonna profit from it, it's BS that they're punishing kids for doing it.

It seems pretty reasonable to ban people involved in sports from betting.
