Please don't take this as news...just internet surfing and found this 'possibility' Not necessarily coming from the most reliable source, but been correct on some things via internet. The rumor is several Hawks are being named in the gambling scandal, nothing I've seen official....it reads: Welp, we knew it was coming… IOWA GAMBLING SUSPENSIONS RELEASED: Tony Cassioppi Nelson Brands Abe Assad Cobe Siebrecht ALL SUSPENDED FOR FULL SEASON. 🫣 *Schriever & Kennedy have received partial suspensions and will miss a few matches. All of these wrestlers have filed appeals. I think Cass would be a huge hit, they have Kueter in the wings but playing football too, not sure he's a go this year. Not much behind Assad, Arnold or Stafford behind Brands...I think they want to RS Arnold. The Kennedy and Siebrecht thing seems plausible since they went hard after Franek and Caliendo. the Caliendo pickup was odd, since Kennedy on any given day is as good IMO. I realize Cal was an AA 8th but Kennedy was R12, I think the wins/losses are super close between them and Kennedy has been all Hawk since birth..also stuck around for Marinelli's extra year. Also, being reported Cardinas (AA at 197) is leaving Cornell. He took care of Andy this year fairly soundly, but was very close 2 years ago. Not sure we go after him though...certainly a high quality guy but I think the staff likes Andy, has TJ, Cody to challenge unless he's dropping to 84 and Sonny in RS. As far as us I think either Cody or TJ are going to designate to 84 and challenge Sam, the other stays up to challenge Andy....no insider info just a guess.
