what the nominal fan calls " exciting " does not work well in March.

College wrestling is kind of like a Bud Foster defense going against a VT (minus MV, JD or TT offense). These guys are so good defensively they wrestle for the impatient mistake of forcing action and they respond. The Latona match really highlighted this. The UVA guy got (or maybe he didn't) that early takedown and that forced Latona to be more offensive minded. SL not only didn't score until the clock was expiring, the other guy put the match away. McG, EV and the champ are excellent in playing defense for the whole match and not not being afraid of a sudden death period or where they have to press the issue. Give them one opening and they score.
