Thinking about the reported poor behavior of some VT fans toward GA:
just like none of us wants to be judged as individuals by our worst moments, an institution shouldn't be judged by its worst actors. Unfortunately, it's the bad decisions by individuals and the poor behavior of a vocal few that get all the headlines.

what headlines are you speaking of?
ESPN? The Washington Post?

Good news does nothing for business. That's reality.

posted about Georgia is because she was widely loved. She isn’t just a great basketball player but a charmer. Her personality shown on Queens and in other videos is so infectious. We will get over whatever hurt might be felt by our loss. Some “fans” overreacted with inexcusable actions. I remember a certain QB who had his tires slashed. Passion can create poor behavior. Life goes on. In time nobody will even talk about it. I hope she averages 30 and Kentucky loses every game… by 1 point

I don't dislike Georgia. In fact I love the way she plays the game. I wish she had stayed here and I understand why she left. It's KB that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. He asked me to support him with my attendance and I did, in fact a few away games and all of the home games. I do not begrudge him for making the move that he did-the thing that I did not like was the way he left and did not acknowledge the fan base with a good bye and thanks for all that you did for the program. I do not know if KB and Whit were at odds against each other and basically I do not care. I will always support the HOKIES and CMD with my support of both attendance and finances. I am a fan of the game and I truly believe that CMD will lead us through this time of turmoil. I will be at all of our home games, the game in Charlotte against IOWA, a lot of the away games and the ACC tournament in Greensboro at the end of the season. Until then, GO HOKIES !!!!

and those who go over-the-top when unrealistic expectations fail to be met, morphing into the root of fan, fanatic.
Everyone needs to understand that games are played by individuals who are just like every human being, imperfect, only with quite a bit more talent.
For those of us who proclaim to be Christians, there is only one way to behave: “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, treating others as we expect to be treated."

When a person-man or woman- leaves for another institution, be sad and then get over it.

Her decision. Respect that though you may not like it.

The discussion started on hee legacy. Nothing about respect and leaving. Most knew she was gone when Kenny left. The argument was over her VT time tarnished? For many it has even if they respect her time here. I respect the ones still here. They deserve all at this juncture.
