Shoot, most of the time the students don't even show up unless they had a great season before. The students get them FREE and still don't come to the games. Sell them to the people who do show up and make a little money!

I usually go to the tournament in Greensboro where I paid $99.00 for the full session of games. The price of the tickets for the tournament in Georgia is $212.00 each. Plus if I would go to that tournament I would have to stay multiple nights when Tech advances. Too rich for my blood. I was happy driving from the NRV back and forth for the daily games. Who in the conference is in Duluth Georgia. I guess Ga. Tech is the closest. $200.00 versus $424.00 plus hotel rooms!

And if the team doesn't meet your expectations this year, are you going to want to get rid of Coach Duffy. KB left us in a hole and CMD has to have time to right the ship. I think she is heading in the right direction. Not like the football team! I will continue to support the women and will be there for the home games and a lot of the away games. I love the energy she brings to the women's basketball team! GO HOKIESA!!!!!

We get a 6'4"commit and all you can say is ...only 6'4". Some have been bit..ing. for taller players, we get one and this is the response you give. They all don't grow to be 6'6" or taller. To me, she looks like a baller!

How do you get that TRUST if you don't ever get into the game or meaningful minutes. It would be best if she went to another team next year, maybe the expansion Toronto team or some other team that will at least let her taste the court. I get that she is a rookie coming off of a knee injury. The other BIGS that are coming in instead of Kit do not explode on the court. To me and I may be biased but at least give her a chance. Let it go Backin The Burg. His anger is what it is. He can talk to me all he wants and I will NEVER, EVER stop buying tickets to the various sports or attending them.. His loss is our gain. Gives others a chance to actually be able to get in to see the games and support the players. Students first. I can accept that and then the rest of us can follow suit. Tournament play I know the amount of money each team receives from The NCAA tournament is a lot more than the WNIT will hand out but the practice time we would get by playing in the WNIT tournament would be so valuable for us. And win the first game and you move on where as you are 1 and done in the BIG DANCE. As much as I want the women to play in the NCAA tournament, I think they could possible play no more than 2 games and they would be playing in a hostile crowd. GO WIN TECH !!! more games in the WNIT

It would have been better if we knew the names of the former players who attended so that we could relate to them when they played. About the only ones I can recognize are Erin Gibson and JC Price's wife. See if we can get one with their names under their pictures in the main group photo. Thanks David.

Why higher at this time? For reserved seats the price of the season ticket doubled from $80 to $160, plus they moved our seats. I would have been happy to pay the extra 100% markup but to have me move my seats was too much to handle. I had been purchasing 2 season tickets in the reserved section and made the decision to buy 2 more for a total of 4 until the ex-coach left and took basically all of our recruits with him to his new school. Instead of paying $320 for 4 season tickets it now cost me $640, so no, I am not in favor of increasing the price of the tickets since they just went up 100% in the reserved sections.

It may be spelled Lani but they pronounce it as "Loni". Maybe that is where the confusion comes from.

We beat Davidson by 29 pints in the tournament last week.

Why not let the Coach coach and we fans sit back and support her and the team.

Why not give the coach time to evaluate what she has and doesn't have. It is not going to be fixed right this minute. Some of you posters really get on my last nerve. Just because Coach has not run set plays is no reason to all of a sudden think that she doesn't know what she is doing. You think Geno and Dawn did it right their first year. I seriously doubt it but go ahead and look it up and report back to all of us. First year coach with a new offense, new players...give it time and she will turn this program around to where it will be better than what is has been the last few years. Year 3 is my time frame, if some of you give her the time to do it.

Well they did increase the price of the season ticket package. It went from $80 a ticket to $160 a ticket this year. I would not have complained too much but my seats were moved to accommodate bigger givers than me. I still have some good seats but not behind the bench like I have had for the past 8 years. I also ordered 2 more tickets to make it four for this year before I knew the price doubled and the previous coach left and took almost all of our recruits, our point guard and back-up center. So yes, they should have the money now since all of the season tickets were sold out. GO HOKIES !!!

Chill people. It was a scrimmage game. Let's let the coaches coach, the players play and us fans sit back and enjoy the ride. If you can't, then jump off the wagon and wait for the next one to come along. I think we will be ok. It may take a few years but remember, the previous coaching staff had to recruit good players to put us over the hump and I think this staff will do even better. The season hasn't even started yet but a few of you are starting to get antsy. We will not be undefeated this year, we probably won't win the ACC or the National Championship but we will have a team that will play together and not just be a one two punch. We all got used to that and it is ok. Just give this team and coaches your support and see where they take us. I for one am here to the end.

Maybe because she is a great player. I bet you still root for Kenny, Georgia and Clara! I was at the game in Charlotte last year and cheered for both teams. I would have loved for tech to beat Iowa but it did not happen. The best team won. I also was at the game where CC broke the women's scoring record and I must admit it was fantastic. To be able to say that I saw history in the making was very satisfying for me. It didn't matter who it was, I still pulled for the person. You need to take a break and enjoy the ride that CC has brought to women's basketball. It may be a while before it happens again. I am HOKIE and will always be HOKIE just like my wife is IOWA and will always be IOWA even though she has lived in Virginia longer than she did in IOWA.

Shoot, I donate a lot of money, bought 2 extra tickets that cost $80.00 for reserved season tickets last year to find out that this year season tickets went up 100% from $80 to $160 dollars. Now I have to pay at least $360 more dollars for these extra tickets. Will probably not buy them next year. And to beat it all, the men's ticket package that I bought was for conference games only and to go to non-conference games you will have to buy tickets for those games aside from the season ticket package. By the way, the men's tickets I bought are for conference games only and to go watch them play non-conference games it will cost me more to watch these games. Last year I paid for 18 total games a certain amount of money but these year the 10 conference games will cost what I paid for the 18 games last year. Again, this will probably be my last year giving support to Student Aid Foundation and buying tickets for all of the major sports. I can use my money else where. I have been buying football tickets since 1978 and am a long time contributor of the Hokie Club. Loyalty does not mean much anymore.

I don't dislike Georgia. In fact I love the way she plays the game. I wish she had stayed here and I understand why she left. It's KB that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. He asked me to support him with my attendance and I did, in fact a few away games and all of the home games. I do not begrudge him for making the move that he did-the thing that I did not like was the way he left and did not acknowledge the fan base with a good bye and thanks for all that you did for the program. I do not know if KB and Whit were at odds against each other and basically I do not care. I will always support the HOKIES and CMD with my support of both attendance and finances. I am a fan of the game and I truly believe that CMD will lead us through this time of turmoil. I will be at all of our home games, the game in Charlotte against IOWA, a lot of the away games and the ACC tournament in Greensboro at the end of the season. Until then, GO HOKIES !!!!

I don't blame anyone for bettering themselves. But what KB did is wrong in my book. I feel betrayed beyond comprehension. I trusted what he said and yes, he is a good coach. But where is the thanks and appreciation for all that the fans have done to help grow this program. As someone said the other day, "Did Kenny make Liz and Georgia or did Liz and Georgia make KB. To me it was the latter. I was happy to see The Kitley family at the introduction of CMD along with Kayla King and others. My hope is that Coach Megan Duffy will lead us to where KB did not take us. And from what I heard, the passion to do it is there and we will be better off in the long run. I hope that KB knows what he has gotten himself into in going to the SEC. Produce now or you won;t be there long. Such a disappointment to the fans who were very gracious to the Brooks family. But know I will support Coach Megan Duffy even more than I did KB. GO HOKIES !!!

As I see it, the problem is the SYSTEM that the NCAA has thrust upon us. You can blame Babcock, Kenny, the players and so on. But they did not create thisthe portal, NIL. In fact a few years ago, if money changed hands like it is doing now, that school would be under investigation and would getpunished for it with reduced schollies, and other things. Some people have been wanting this-well now they have it. I give college 5 years and then it will be dead. They might as well create a super league to where they all are semi-pro, which I think is happening today. I'm more concerned about rising ticket prices for all sports at Tech. If I have to pay more this year for season tickets in FB, MBB and WBB and not get the seats that I have had in the past, then this will be my last year of attending Tech games. I am on a fixed income since i retired and I will need that extra money to make sure that I pay my bills. I can always watch on TV and not be subjected the behaviors of students or inclement weather. I wish all of the teams at Tech success but soon they may have to do it without me!

I called the ticket office this evening and was told there would be no selection watch party Sunday. I reminded the lady that at senior day, the last regular season finale, that there would be a selection watch party on Sunday, March 17th at 8:00pm. She told me that she was told there would be no watch party this year. HUMMMM! The word needs to get out because a lot of people may want to come and be a part of it. HUMMMM!!!!!

Last time I read, she was 6'7". Did she shrink? !!!!

I was in attendance at both games and the women definitely had more people at their game than the men. To me 6113 is low. Of the 8900 that the attendance say were at the men's game must not know how to count. Maybe the men sold more tickets than the women but the women held court last night ! Go HOKIES and I'll see you in Charlotte on Thursday night ! My wife is a Hawkeye, so I get the best of both worlds like I did in Dallas back in April for the FINAL FOUR game.

I agree it would not have changed the result. But stand up for your team Coach Pry. Don't just accept the call as is. Your resistance to challenge goes totally against your winning culture. You are promoting a losing culture by not doing so! Yes it was a first down and yes the knee was down! Someone explain to him the challenge rules!!

May be LSU will have their hands full when they play Tech. Just because they beat Tech in the final 4 and won the National Championship and now have Van Lith does not mean that they are going to run roughshod over everyone. To me Van Lith was overrated. I'll take any of our players over her any day. Everyone wants to degrade Tech even before they play their first game, even before they can get the first practice in. May be we have better players than we did last year. Ever think about that! Didn't think so. True Hokie fans will always stand up for their team. Don't need all of the negativity at this point in time. I worry more about IOWA than I do LSU.

Overly confident with a half ass effort. Absolutely no energy! Looked sluggish all night. Poor offensive execution and got hammered on the boards. Played soft for 45 mins!! Enough said.
