One thing I noticed about UConn from watching them last week is how fit
they are. All their players look lean and quick. Not only are the smothering Clark, but they are all over the players that she would pass to when she does hetr he ball. Also, the other Iowa players can't finish at the rim when they drive because they can't shake the UConn players. And let's face it, they are Geno is an elite coach and they are playing team ball.

Geno is the Nick Saban of women's basketball. The man can coach...
...and develop a game plan. Oh...he also has a lot of hardware to back it up.

Geno is a whole other level above Saban and everyone else.
17 undefeated conference seasons, 6 undefeated seasons, and 11 national titles. Yes he has been there a long time. But damn, nobody will ever be that level of GOAT again in any sport.

UCONN is playing D against Clark to perfection right now.

Turnovers are killing Iowa (in addition to the fact that CC is having a
tough night so far.

Iowa is playing sloppy ball right now due to the UCONN D.

Geno has been around the block a time or two. He's come up with ways to
stop a good many superstars.

Geno's game plan - make the other 4 beat us.
UEMcGill UEMcGill
Yup. And it works, given how solid his other 4 are. UConn getting out of
the first half with nobody getting a 3rd foul was huge. Their depth is their weakness, or lack of it. It's still anybody's game, but he's got his chess pieces where he wants them.
