I feel of Coach Brooks as I did of Buzz Williams.
Best to you and your family. Thank you for what you did for Tech’s Women’s Basketball. But “Good luck” feels insincere, so I will not use the term.
When people say, “did you hear about Buzz or TA&M?” I respond, “I don’t care.” Buzz did what Buzz needed to do and Kenny has done what he needed to do. I do not invest any time into previous coaches.

Appreciate what he did for VT. But I won't follow him or care what he does in the future.

and not Virginia Tech. It was always about Buzz and his personal brand. I didn't want to believe that, but over time it became clear that he was never about Virginia Tech, the community, the people. We were always just a stopover for him to continue building his brand. So when he left the cupboard bare when he left, that was just par for the course. I have been a huge CKB fan from day one, and really believed that he was different. A Virginia native, he was about Tech, our community, about Hokie Nation, about building something special in Blacksburg. But with this move it appears I've been suckered again. It is hard for me to look back on these truly great years and not see now that it was all always about CKB and his brand. He always talks about "his girls" and built a culture all around, well, himself. So it will not be a surprise at all to see all of our promising players transfer now to UK, and the cream of the top-10 recruiting class (certainly Silva), go to UK now. We shouldn't be surprised to see Georgia opt for a fifth year .... to play for CKB at UK. I'm sad more than mad. It feels like we just can't sustain anything great in Blacksburg.

direction, especially after seeing how the team stepped up without Georgia and Liz.
