Might get to 200 at this rate.

Tells me a lot about the coach. He’s a win-at-all-cost guy. He cares more
about the extra $ in his bank account for making it to the super regionals than he cares about his players.

But running a pitcher into the ground also hurts.

Exactly my point.

UCLA coach is a she. Pitching depth was very thin
for UCLA this year. I'm not sure how much her arm can handle, but it's not a surprise she got all the mound time.

Thanks. I was thinking baseball.

I do not think it.......
tells you much about the coach aside from she feels the pitcher was her best chance to win and whatever your own little fantasy that you cooked up might have been. These ladies grow up throwing a lot of pitches and can handle it? Did you voice the same concerns when VT was riding AT? ** Edited by 2hhoop3 at 6/1/2026, 10:10:09 AM

That’s a little harsh but your point is correct. Apparently, throwing
Underarm as the girls throw, allows the arm to last a lot longer than throwing over handed as some (but not all) of us recall from Angela Tincher’s days. She was quite the super star. Fun to watch play & read about. I especially enjoyed reading her blog while she played in Japan. I hope she’s doing well.

Right, it's not baseball. Remember, there are no million $$ signing . .
. . bonuses waiting for softball pitchers. There's no particular motivation for a college coach to be concerned about a pitcher's arm after her eligibility is exhausted.

It’s not baseball. The underarm pitcher can throw more pitches without
Doing damage to their arm than someone throwing overhand. That being said, million dollar bonus or not a coach should always do right by their players.

I do not believe.....
it was harsh and just met HHS' unwarranted criticism of the coach.
