and I’m not saying this player will/would enter the portal, but if both turn out to be true, we should give ETSU’s Eden Muncy a look. She had a tremendous Sophomore season, and threw a no hitter in the SOCON tourney. She also went to the same HS (Rye Cove) as one of our football recruits, OL Ethan Lawson.

. . . innings versus a schedule that included no P4 teams. She was the best pitcher on a bad team so maybe she's better than her numbers. A 'tremendous season'? I'd say an OK season pitching against teams full of players that would mostly be on the bench for P4 teams.

We’re not in the market for any “big name” group of 5 pitchers who want to move up. They will command lots of $$ and Va. Tech doesn’t have it.
