SB America's final bracketology also has VT at LSU (the #16 seed)
The difference is that they have South Alabama there as the #3 seed. Princeton is the #4 seed. They also have Alabama as the #1 seed, so that will be a fairly easy road grip the following weekend. Let's Go Hokie!

Hopefully not- the LSU fans are somewhat batcrap crazy
In baseball, they call Themselves the LeftField Lunatics and they are loud and insulting to opposing teams… having been there more than 20/30 times, I am sure that they have an equivalent group for softball opposing teams 😠😠😠

I almost rather play a 13 or 14 seed
Than 16

LSU might be that seed ….
VT is likely a 17 to 20 seed and in a bucket with the 13 to 16 seeds. ** Edited by hokietony at 5/10/2026, 3:21:26 PM

Final DSR #11; KPI #15; RPI #18
Before the season it was stated the “committee would use all three of these in tournament seeding and selection” Then The chairwoman comes on in an interview and says they’ll “look deeper” if there’s a discrepancy BUT as we get closer and closer to selection all the “expert” bracketologists seem to be leaning almost entirely on RPI…shockingly that view favors the SEC. Shockingly 🙄🤦🏻‍♂️

NCAA Selection will use whatever metric that helps the committee ...
... get the results they are looking for.

and no one has any idea what that is and that's OK.

No almost about it. Worst scenario is to be sent to play the 16th seed.

Not sure that is true this year ….
Top 4 seeds are likely Texas, nebraska, Alabama, and Oklahoma in no particular order. Every weekend each one of these seem to be the best team.

Yep. No clear favorite and, IMHO, VT could beat any of the four at . .
. . . once.

In that scenario will the lowest go to Alabama for the SR
Or will it automatically be Lsu region winner? Assuming Bama wins their region.

It's a firm bracket - no reseeding after the first round
That would mean should Alabama get upset in the opening round and VT win the Baton Rouge regional. that VT would host the Super Regional the following weekend. We can always dream...lol

Both D1SB & SB America has FSU as a #8 seed. and Duke as a #12
For FSU, that means that they could also host the Super Regional if they win the Regional. D1 SB has South Carolina as the #2 seed in FSU's region, SB America has Washington as the #2. ** Edited by VTChip at 5/10/2026, 12:56:05 PM

How is uva a 7 seed and we are 16?
That makes no sense, even.with RPI

That’s not what that means. We’re nationally #16-20;
UVA would be playing at #7 national seed UT We start out as #16 or at #16; so we’re playing a “worse” seed

UVa is at #7 seed Tenn.
