For perspective, check out how many HRs Oklahoma has. Don’t get me wrong I
love our ladies and we have done well. We are not close to the elite programs yet

Why do you think HRs are the definitive metric for judging an elite team?
I’m assuming you realize that their offensive HRs have nothing to do with their defensive or pitching prowess. For perspective, they could be total garbage in the field but have stellar homer numbers. ** Edited by RVAHokie05 at 5/4/2026, 8:52:13 AM

Is this supposed to be sarcasm?
I’m a regular contributor here, and a much more engaged user on this sub than you based on post history 🤷‍♂️

We get on base via singles and walks 70% of the time
Calculating what percentage of HRs a team hits versus overall hits or even At Bats Looking at hits, Virginia Tech has 534 hits on the season - 101 HRs out of 534 hits - good for 18.9% of our hits are HRs - 105 doubles out of 534 hits - good for 19.6% od our hits are doubles - 13 triples ....2.4% - 315 singles - 59% of our hits are singles Then when you look at overall ABs (I know there are many ways of getting on based, but I will just do hits, walks, and HBP). - 534 hits, 229 walks, 20 HBP for a total of 783 ways to get on base - HRs - represented 12.9% - doubles - 13.4% - triples - 1.7% - singles - 40.2% - walks - 29% - HBP - 2.5%

Uh. OU & UCLA don’t have great pitching. They’re also having record setting
HR years These are both outliers You say we’re “not close” to the elite programs yet based just on 2 teams’ record HR years? How about Alabama who is going to be top 3 national seed. They’re also having scored 8 total runs vs USCe. We scored 8 in EACH game. We’re top 11 nationally (I said 11 because we’re 11 only in OB%) top 10 in most all offensive categories and top 10 in Hits allowed per 7 innings and Ks per 7 IP.

What an impressive list. Sometimes accolades have to be looked for.
Not for this team. That list is real. Nothing made up there.
