Not watching tv so help me out...at 3-1 pitch count with bases loaded and 2
outs, why wouldn't Nora take the next pitch with hopes it would walk in a run instead of swinging? What am I missing here?

Why even take the bat up to the plate if you're playing for a walk?
3-1 the pitcher has to throw a strike so there's a good chance she's going to groove the pitch.

Not hard, she wants to hit the ball ....
11-2 game, pitch looked like a strike, and you don't take the 2nd strike when the ball appears in your zone. ** Edited by hokietony at 5/2/2026, 2:33:48 PM

Leave the bat in the dugout if you're playing for a walk.

At least bring a toy bat... just in case 😊
