That sure looked like catcher interference to me. Classic case

Last year you couldn’t defend the plate, it was interference, but now the
pendulum has swung too far the other way and nothing is interference! Maybe next year they can figure out a fair way to call it.

With the new rule saying as long as there a lane to the plate it will be
rarely called interference. The old rule that was no doubt interference.

Terrible to send runner there but I do not know what is interference anymor
Last year a player without the ball couldn’t even sniff the baseline without it being called interference, now you can block 3/4 of the plate.🤷‍♂️
