SB America has Penn State vs. VT as one of their games to watch this week
Pretty good endorsement to lead the paragraph!
5. No. 22 Penn State @ No. 11 Virginia Tech
What do we want to see: The Hokies have the makings of a World Series team. Strong pitching from Bree Carrico and Emma Mazzarone spearheads a Virginia Tech program that has always found ways to score runs. Penn State freshman Allison Oneacre has been on top of the college softball world at third base, leading the team in batting average and homers. In addition to Oneacre, the Nittany Lions hold their own in the circle, too. This should be an intriguing matchup to see which arms get the nod in the circle.

" Virginia has won every game since its opening weekend loss to Arkansas. The Cavaliers have a quality pitching tandem in Courtney Layne and Eden Bingham. North Carolina provides the power at the plate, though, blasting 41 homers and holding a .397 team batting average. This will likely be Virginia’s toughest test since its loss to Arkansas in early February, while this conference series will be the Tar Heels’ first top-25 test of the season. This will be a fun measuring stick test for both teams heading into conference play."
And this from D1 Softball:
Virginia vs. North Carolina — Virginia enters this series riding a 20-game winning streak, tied for second-longest in the nation. The Cavaliers lost their season opener to Arkansas in lopsided fashion, then haven’t lost since. UNC played a significantly-easier schedule during the non-conference portion of their own year, but put together a winning streak of their own to kick things off. This is already UNC’s second series of ACC play – they took the series from Boston College 2-1 a week ago – and the key to the weekend could be the Tar Heel offense vs. UVA’s solid, sturdy pitching staff.

We're waiting for the results of the Michigan at Penn State game tonight to finalize and publish it, but here is a comment I made in the Penn State section:
"Penn State is coached by Hokie Hall of Famer Clarisa Crowell (inducted in 2013). She was a four-year letter winner for the Hokies and a three-time All-Conference performer (twice in the Atlantic 10 and once in the Big East). Crowell hit .289 for her VT career with 16 home runs and 35 doubles, while also going 65-25 in the circle with a 1.39 ERA and 475 strikeouts. She also threw four no hitters, which ranks fifth on VT’s All-time list."
