recruiting and overall their pitching has veterans now that have been at UVA for a while now and the team is battle hardened. VT is still a better team overall, but they are gaining on us. Harding is a good coach and Pete and her are good friends and very respectful of each others program.

Started the season giving up 10 runs in the first inning versus Arkansas (never changed pitchers?) and lost 17-1, but since then, they have won 12 in a row.
This weekend they swept two games from both Maryland and Ohio State in Charlottesville so they are certainly a quality team.

While OSU and Maryland are not softball juggernauts they are solid wins. The rest of the schedule has been a little softer. I agree though with VTChip - definitely a solid team this year. Their best players are now seniors/juniors.
