Posting History (189)

I don't have a horse in this race, but...

TT appears to be a recurring theme in these team skirmishes. It seems that the mighty and powerful SEC doesn't like someone beating them at their own game, buying players.

Paid softball players participating in the NCAA tournament.

In the round of 16, what percentage of these players receive compensation? For instance, how many players on the Texas Tech team are paid, and is this information accessible? I am not well-versed in how the NIL operates, including its regulations and required filings.

I'm heading to a cookout at my buddy's house. He's a LSU graduate.

He and his wife are already texting me, basically saying the ACC is bush league in softball. πŸ˜’

I agree. She sometimes seems overlooked with most attention given

To Bree and Mazz, and rightly so. I previously commended her performance against the β€˜mighty and powerful’ FSU team. Even though we didn't win, it was evident that Layton was building confidence and performing well on a major stage. This was a valuable experience for a freshman. I'm not as knowledgeable about women's softball as some, but I believed pitching was the biggest uncertainty at the season's start. Now, I feel more optimistic about our prospects with Layton and Bree emergingβ€” our future looks much brighter. Next year could be even more exciting. Mazz, Bree, and Layton. (PS, I don't know much about the other pitchers or our recruiting pipeline.)

Big stage versus FSU. Layton gained valuable experience

And a confidence boost. She held her own against the renowned FSU. 😏

We can't think about that now. 😐

If we advance far in the tournament and gain more national recognition, the notoriety could become a double-edged sword.

The ACC Tournament is going to be very interesting.

If we advance deep into the ACC tournament, who would we rather face: Dook or F$U?

I have noticed quite a few tend to throw wild pitches.

Is it because they are aiming to pitch at the highest velocity possible? Sorry if this sounds like a silly question, but there are a lot of wild pitches in the women's game.

You're right; they play most everyone at home.

Florida is arriving in town, so we will see just how good FSU really is.

Please forward the link to the AD office

With this simple note: This demonstrates what vision, leadership, and effective fundraising can accomplish. 🫨

We don't want to get ahead of ourselves but

After reviewing the rest of our schedule, will we be favored in all those games?

The more we win, the greater the recognition we receive.

If an SEC school attempts to poach him, refusing would be difficult. I wish there were a way to address this proactively, but that would require an AD to take the lead. Unfortunately, we lack an AD who can eat lead and operate strategically.

Whoo has UVA played?

So far, they haven't faced any tough competition, or have I overlooked something? I checked their schedule, and they play Duke, Virginia Tech, and Clemson all in succession. Let's see how they perform once they face some stronger teams.

I was going to the same question

Liberty usually fields good teams, but the schedule explains their record. Few teams would have winning records against such competition. I respect the coach for that. The girls are experiencing America and playing softball too.

This team is very impressive.

I'm confident others in the ACC have noticed. The trip to Dook will reveal a lot. But it's best not to look too far ahead.

Thanks reminding me.

Thanks for the reminder. Just donated before the deadline. Thanks for everything, Chip. You rock.

It’s truly fascinating to notice how

a specific group of VPI women’s softball team commentators always seems to post immediately after a lossβ€”what an absolutely intriguing and almost uncanny pattern!
