You folks are amazing!!!
We completed our 4th annual softball auction last night and it was the best ever.
WE RAISED $20,500 FOR THE SOFTBALL PROGRAM and it was primarily due to the amazing support of the TSL community.
From the folks who were so very generous in donating items to the folks writing the checks to the folks continuously offering me encouragement during some frustrating moments, THANK YOU ALL!!!
A special thanks to Will in helping get the word out. It was truly a TSL (and players' families' effort).
Coach Pete was blown away last night and wants to let everyone know how thankful he is for your support.

So, If I have this right, TSL givers are primarily responsible for AT LEAST $50K to softball so far this season?
$20,000+ for Auction
$20,000+ for “challenge” commitments
$10,000+ for The Hokie Way NIL contributions
I am so impressed with everyone’s generosity and I can only imagine that the players are TWICE as thankful! Simple math puts that in excess of $2K per player in gear, apparel, and scholarship support, which has to be a huge help to Pete in continuing to attract quality players and run a first class program.
The dedication that you and your wife have shown to lead and encourage these efforts is tremendous! Thank you.

organizational, business AND people skills, required for this level of success. For my wife and I, going to the games is like going to a party when we know old friends will be there. Really disappointed about tomorrow - Saturday was going to be the last regular season home game, we prepped for that, but now we already had the last regular season home game.

I was really concerned about a week into it because of the slow start of the jerseys and balls but Gelded Turkey stepped up and really got things going. It seemed like everyone focused on getting the jerseys to$100 and then it just took off.

Man, so much to say here but I will try and keep it brief. First off, a BIG thank you to Chip and Bonnie for all of their hard work, time and money that they put into making the auction a huge success. I think most of us realize what Chip and Bonnie put into this but i doubt any of realize the EXTENT of the work, time and money they invest. Also, a big thanks to all of the other people who contributed items, time and energy as well.
Every year Chip does this auction, the growth in the amount raised is almost exponential ie I believe this year saw a 40% increase from the prior year!! Geez Chip, you keep this up and pretty soon you will be auctioning cars, vacation homes, etc and be raising 7-figure amounts for VT softball. Now THAT will buy some VERY nice socks!!

It certainly moved the needle on the jerseys and the balls and was a big part of the success.
A winning bidder sent me a note last night that she was rounding up the price on the balls to $50 so they could qualify for your generous offer.
