is tough in this sport. Plenty of stuff to work on but maybe this will lead to them hitting their stride at the right time.

Their fans already calling it the best series loss in the history of the game and that our dysfunctional culture has caught up to us. If Tech wins yesterday they would be calling for their coaches job and in meltdown mode which I enjoy so much.

Most UVa supporters were very respectful of VT and expected to lose the series but to take a game which is exactly what happened.

Both teams' probably yelled at the umps with good reason. Both teams wore black.
With those snooty noses in the air they'd drown in a steady rain.

about UVa culture and being snooty, etc. In reality, having been a UVa softball player's parent - softball fans are all pretty much the same. It's a pretty blue-collar sport and sure, there there's always a bad apple on every side. I find most softball parents/fans to be pretty tolerable - most of the girls all played with or against each other so, again, it makes sense that the fans are similar. I've not noticed a single wine and cheese type in the softball world and even the lady who gave like $15M to help build Palmer Park is really a nice down to earth former player who sits with the crowd when she's in town and you'd never even know who she is.

Agree with the rest. While @ JMU my daughter played summer ball. Her catcher was a hoo. A great kid. Others from Radford, Mason and some D2 kids. May have the most pure fun she ever had playing ball.

Truth be told, the UVA ladies could have swept the series. They should have a good season. They are a good team with a cool coach.
