Agreed. Ultimately, donating via @VTChip ensures your donations

are in addition to those funds budgeted to softball by the AthDept. Admission fees would go into the AthDept general funds. Chip's success, in and of itself, is an embarrassment to Whit and his Minions. Conversely, that embarrassment probably translates into animosity towards Chip by them. Kind of a double edged sword.
