We engraved two for her, one was donated to this past softball auction and brought in about $300. We produced two bats for fans of Emma Ritter who are also Hokies from her hometown, Perryville Maryland. One of the great things about producing these engraved bats is the expression on the player's face when they see their name engraved into the bat. There's a combination of awe and humility and honor that they have fans who think so much of them to want that piece of memorabilia from them. When I told Emma about her two bats she was slightly stunned and asked, "Do I know these people?" The answer is NO she doesn't know them, then the humility and honor sets in and you could see how grateful she was that "this" was happening to her. The honor will be much more long-lasting than the NIL money. But still the NIL money is really nice.
