Ironically, Stanford and VT had exactly the same results against three common opponents (both teams swept UNC + NC State and took 2 of 3 from Clemson). So, I believe if it's a two way tie between VT and Stanford, it goes to a coin flip by the ACC (insert joke here). Now, if VT, Stanford, and Louisville are in a three way tie for 3rd-5th (this likely only happens if VT sweeps Syracuse and Louisville drops 1 at NC State, or VT goes 2-1 and NC State goes 1-2), I believe Louisville gets the 5th seed because Stanford and VT swept NC State, whereas Louisville does not sweep NC State in this scenario. Also, Stanford and VT both took 2 of 3 from Clemson but Louisville lost 2 of 3 to Clemson. So, in this scenario, I believe it is still a coin flip between Stanford and VT, but this time for the 3rd seed instead of 4th. Bottom line: VT needs to sweep Syracuse (easier said than done up there) and, if that happens, Louisville needs to lose at least one at NC State. Then I believe we get no worse than a 4th seed.
