The two pitchers are Reagan Troy, a pitcher/third baseman from Broad Run High School in Ashburn, Virginia and pitcher Bree Carico from Appomattox County who recently threw a six inning perfect game versus Dan River, striking out 12 along the way. Reagan was ranked #31 in the Class of 2024 by Extra Innings Softball who was not only impressed with her as a pitcher, but also described her as “a strong hitter with a ton of power.” Her travel ball coach says “she will be a game-changer. Reagan has been a four-year starter at Broad Run and has recorded 173 strikeouts in 129 innings while earning first team All-Dulles District honors as a pitcher. In her freshman year at Broad Run, Troy was named Rookie of the Year after winning the batting title. Coach D’Amour: - "Troy has a good drop ball and can get her velocity to 67. She can also swing the bat." Bree is another Top 50 recruit for the Hokies, having been ranked #48 in the Class of 2024 (#34 pitcher) by Extra Innings Softball. She was described by Extra Innings as “a right-hander who throws a variety of pitches including a rise, drop and change-up with a fastball that sits around 60 mph.
