I really wish Maddie and her older sister Kate Gordon (JMU alum) had attended VT (if we even offered?). Kate had a great career at JMU with 71 HRs and a career .407 BA. Her shining moment was the HR that toppled Oklahoma in the WCWS game in the opening game. Was fun watching this interview and seeing Maddie grown up. I just knew their father well as he was the catcher on my little league team way back in the early 80s and that little school of Page County rarely puts out D1 college athletes in any sport.
