insofar as we're talking about FSU. There's no reasonable argument the ACC could make that FSU has not provided constant and ongoing notice of its intent to withdraw from the ACC. There's a year-old and counting lawsuit about it, and notice of withdrawal is plead in FSU's complaint.

I was going to make this post as a Topic Header in several hours. However 5:35 Central Time is probably sufficient to call the August 15 deadline as passed. Now the way I see the future on expansion. I have no idea where specific ACC schools may land in the future. I do think the SEC may have a leg up on the B1G on some of these southern schools just due to geography. The B1G would be a leg up with academics. Which is more advantageous? I think the geography as far as football goes, I give Texas & Oklahoma as recent examples. The future of the ACC until 2036, depends on one thing. ESPN resigning that ACC TV Contract before June 30, 2027. It is that simple. Why doesn't my SI Link or any Mainstream Media outlet mention that very important impending 9 year advancement? That is because ESPN labeled that information in a court of law as a Trade Secret and further alleged FSU attorneys had committed felonies by releasing that information. No MSM outlet will now touch it. ESPN is just keeping the spotlight off themselves as long as possible. However that June 30, 2027, deadline still exists and is ebbing closer with every passing year. Why do ESPN's company men (e.g. Kirk Herbstreit, Chris Fowler, etc.) actively and repeatedly denigrate the ACC product at every available opportunity? Why has ESPN excluded the ACC from primetime ABC OTA broadcasts? Why do they promote one property (the SEC) to the derision of the ACC? ("IT JUST MEANS MORE!") They are basically covering ACC football EXACTLY the same way they used to cover the late-era Big East conference - denigrate, tear down, or ignore. It's pretty obvious what's going on at the Disney/ESPN offices, at least if you have eyes, ears, and the capacity for critical thinking. They are only minimally "invested" in the ACC, and only for another couple years. And, those numbers are well over two years old. And, the guy writing the blog just admits he's making them up - he "estimates" how much money ESPN is netting based upon....Twitter posts he saw. Great research you've done here; you're a natural. I'm totally convinced. Frankly, you can cite whatever blog post, Twitter post, or whatever else you want - it's clear to anyone who has eyes, ears, and a functioning brain that there is a major lack of promotional and marketing consideration for the ACC at ESPN, especially when one sees how they take the exact opposite approach for the SEC. Why is ESPN, at best, not promoting, and, at worst, denigrating its own product? Well, that's the million dollar question, isn't it?

content As far as promoting the ACC, obviously a genius in cable television advertising like you knows that ESPN hasn't done the same job promoting both conferences equally. That's probably because the ACC product on the field blows!!. You promote the product that makes the most money.
