Netflix is in negotiations for some NFL games. Another player
getting into the sports rights business. This may put pressure on ESPN and FOX to up their game, and with Apple and Amazon sitting on the sidelines, this could get interesting with the streamers.
Going against conventional wisdom, I'm not sure the ACC wants to be locked in till 2036, with or without FSU/Clemson.

by bidding out a one or two game nfl schedule EVERY Saturday all season long?
Got to think the SEC and B1G contracts would be cut dramatically if their prime saturday windows had to compete head to head with a nfl game.

Saturday games. It really doesn't make a lot of sense that they don't, otherwise. They'd own Saturday just like they do every other day.

That would cause war within Big Media. Big Media didn't all become mega-rich doing business like that. They all make big money at the feeding trough. I doubt that changes.

But there were 3 or 4 parties bidding out the riches. Now you got more streaming competitors all willing to pay more money for a sliver of the pie.
Just a matter o time until college football is just another sports competitor vs the NFL for eyeballs , just like PGA, NBA and any other programming.

when he gets the call that the NFL is playing Saturday games at SEC prime time windows. I am not down with the NFL playing on Saturdays, but I would change my tune if the Big 10 and SEC does their own thing.
