What they can't stand is the ACC and Big 12, just stirring it up enough to make their lives difficult.

Did Bob Iger issue a mandate for all divisions to maximize revenues? Marvel has released bomb after bomb and Disney stock is still struggling. I think this pro division will cause profits to spike, but as disenfranchised segments of the country (will Coloradans care if no state team has a seat at the table?) lose interest they will decrease. It’s a Disney cash grab imo.

wealth gap with the schools outside their membership, it really should be be it's own subdivision/league with its own championship. it will be boring compared to what we had/have, but it feels inevitable. The question remains what to do with non-football sports? Should this become its own division vs just a football subdivision? could these 40+ schools generate enough bball revenue to justify leaving the NCAA? would they have their own bball playoff and expect to get a shot at the champion of the "all others" NCAAT? what about the other non/lower revenue sports?

...breakaway from the NCAA. They will have a massive financial advantage to buy the best coaches and players in every sport. We're seeing it now, and they just have a large game. It the future it will be massive.

It does confirm the need for further expansion to make that a reality. And some NCAA changes also. But interesting to hear him describe it as their own playoff.
Goes back to my comments the other day. They overestimate how much people will care. Especially if they have an SEC only playoff before they mix with the BIG. That’s just incredibly boring. But they only care that it gets them a consistent 50% of the money.
