Hypothetical for you guys re SEC
I think VT's strongest argument on getting into the P2 is with the SEC based in no small part on the ability to help the SEC compete for the DMV marker. If that statement is true would you approve of a VT offer to move one or 2 home games per year up to that area? Say an opportunity for BAMA or UGA to play in DMV?

If DMV is so important to SEC then why haven't there already been games
there? They don't need it.

The SEC is what it is because it focuses on rivalries and traditions
So I don't see that as something the SEC would look for. Establishing a preseason game every year like they have on opening weekend in ATL, sure, but not moving regular season games off campus. Not the way they operate.

If that would seal the deal, YES!

We already play a home game in Charlottesville every other year
Why not a game in DC the years that UVa comes to Blacksburg? A joke, but a semi annual or annual game in DC vs. PSU, WVU, or OSU would be a nice treat.

Great place for an OOC P2 opener, but build the new stadium Josh that can
host this game, a CFP playoff Final, a Final Four and a Super Bowl. It needs to retractable too, for crappy weather days.

My question was about the SEC.
and us offering the opportunity for BAMA, UGA etc. to play a game in DVM. If by the off chance we get into the big, MD is already in that area so no such "deal sweetener" would appropriate.

1 absolutely, 2 maybe, but WFT build a new stadium please!!! Retractable
Dome in either Northern Virginia or DC. It needs to not only host us, but the Super Bowl, Final Four etc. PS It's like having a home game to me, just like UGa playing in Atlanta. ** Edited by Stech at 2/27/2024, 2:55:21 PM
