I would LOVE to have a job where no matter how I perform, I walk away rich

Amen. I aspire to be a fired college coach
It boggles my mind. If Jimbo Fisher was a friend of mine, I would have seriously congratulated him on his firing from A&M. A $75M payday to get fired! Only in America.

Lauren Boebert's district is right next door. Even she had a hard
time screwing that up!

I'm sure Pry and Whit are ahead of the game, with Pry's support team, to anticipate rumbling with competitive salaries. Side comment. its crazy being a football coach. managing players, player personnel, transfers in and out, NIL opportunities, then same with staff. and recruit and outreach to fan base and develop and train players and coach on saturdays (and have time for family)... whew

This should have zero impact on Pry/Whit........
As for the 7/8 figure coaches......My heart bleeds for all of their hardships......Not.

Now that this domino has fallen with Alabama filling its HC vacancy,
it could be interesting to see what other dominoes fall as schools fill out their new coaching staff or back fill vacant positions because a coach accepted a position at another school. I'm assuming over the next month or so fans will start to hear if another school (or pro team) has any interest in a VT coach. It seems to me that would be the likely catalyst to compare coaches' salaries at VT to another school.

In my opinion they are all way overpaid. At least at the VT level
