eventually suffer if they don't become a P2 school. The financial advantage of the P2 will leak over to basketball.

They think that they have their starting QB (CJ Carr, grandson of Lloyd Carr of Michigan) on campus already.

The expensive private schools have money, but many spent it on basketball, but now the ROI is on football.
