CFP 1st round rating are out - 2nd and 3rd most watched games of the year
Early window ratings aren't great, but better than anything else TNT or ESPN could program.
Tennessee-Ohio State (14.3M) and Indiana-Notre Dame (13.4M) were the second- and third-most watched games of the season, respectively.

"normal" programming vs the boatloads and boatloads of money they are paying for the rights. I'd love to see the projections they based off of- I strongly suspect they expected greater average then 10.6mm in first round.

So the CFP games brought in 13X to 19X the amount of viewers that they average.

Uncharted waters. The only thing to "compare" it to are the expectations
of TV execs and the advertisers. I watched 3 of the 4 games. I didn't the PSU game because I was watching Hokies MBB.

is one metric but, playoffs should exceed regular season and conference championships. Also, how those numbers stack against prior years for viewing and how they measured against the NFL also translate into the valuation and whether the viewing market is shrinking or expanding in absolute numbers.
