No one wants VT in the SEC because if Hampton Roads recruiting picks up
again and another Mike Vick shows up. The SEC will lose advantage in recruiting and have to play the recruits. VT has shown twice they will take advantage of opportunities presented by new money or a new league to raise their game. First in the Big East then the ACC. They stepped up both times from unwanted invitees crashing the party to conference champion. UVS]A is no threat to SEC dominance of Virginia recruiting and it another easy win ala South Carolina. Missouri. They are no threat to Georgia, Florida or Tennessee winning the East ** Edited by LocalExperts at 7/20/2022, 9:05:45 PM ** Edited by LocalExperts at 7/20/2022, 9:51:55 PM

how do you reallly know
There is alot of misinformation by agents from other schools that are circulating mis infomation about VT . Especially from UNC. This makes PUTIN look like a rookie. They are circulating it on all platforms and folks read that stuff and react immediately. 1. VT is the FLAGSHIP UNIVERSITY of the COMMONWEATH 2. We own the Northern Virginia Market and several campuses 3. We are the largest university in the state with largest enrollment total and largest R&D effort in the commonwealth 4. We have corporate ties with some of the largest corporations in America AMAZON and BOEING. 5. we have an avid fan base that is SEC level and travels and sells out venues. (we have the record for FED EX Field Guess what we beat the ACC blue bloods in their pet tourney the ACC basketball tournament So, we need to stop feeling sorry, get aggressive, reply with passion against those naysayers. DOnt think bad about your own institution. (or you just a external fan)

You think that would scare any SEC school?

yeah, I don't think SEC schools are worried about that.

I think the last thing SEC schools fear is recruiting against VT...
They don't recruit, they legally cheat.

NIL has made cheating legal
I have heard that every Texas A&M lineman recruited last cycle was paid $50,000 through NIL. Nobody is going to match Texas oil money. However Arkansas can play that game with all the big corporations headquarters in NW Arkansas. Walmart, Tyson & JB Hunt. Plus Jerry Jones. I think Jerry Jones got us Chad Morris and I know that long stint of playing Texas A&M at Jerry's World that will finally end I think in 2024. One year of Morris got Malzahn canned at Auburn. Morris then landed back at a Dallas high school to immediately flop there. Jerry Jones had an undersized grandson that Morris immediately on hiring gave a scolly like billionaires need a scolly. That is the kind of crap that kept the Razorbacks in the SEC cellar for 7 years but Jerry Jones does have deep pockets for anything Razorback. The NIL has made cheating legal.

Why would a "super conference" like the SEC...
be afraid of adding a school that takes football seriously and would give the SEC blue bloods a challenge? That would further improve their conference. Bringing in a perennial cellar dweller won't boost ratings.

I think he missed their most recent acquisitions of Big TX and OK
I'm pretty darn sure they aren't scared of adding any school...lol

Powerhouse
Being a potential powerhouse will not hinder any football program from entering the SEC. Being in the SEC will also open the door to recruiting hotbeds in states that the Hokies could never regularly recruit. That will only strengthen the Hokie football program. I remember the Razorbacks could only recruit in Arkansas & Texas and a little in northern Louisiana & western Oklahoma while in the SWC. Arkansas played 4 or 5 games every year within the state of Texas and there was always lots more Texans on those Razorback SWC teams than Arkansas natives. When Arkansas entered the SEC the recruiting expanded all into Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and southern Louisiana. You can look at the 2023 Arkansas recruiting class on 247. Arkansas now recruits over most of the eastern half of the US. Hokie recruiting will be expanded in the SEC with a good recruiting staff of coaches in the exact same way.

Say what you want about the SEC…
…but they tend to not acquire pushovers. With the possible exception of USCe and Mizzou, they have been hunting big game. That’s why I find it hard to accept that they would want UVA ever.
