IMO, if the ACC could somehow persuade ND to become football member and
Rescue WV from the Midwest, the ACC could be the next conference behind the $EC & BIG$.
ND addition would be no brainer. WV fits within the current ACC footprint and increases tv interest in more games as well. People will tune into WV vs Clemson, GT, Miami, UNC, NCSU, VT, FSU & Pitt far quicker than games between those schools and Duke, WF, BC and Syracuse.

an attractive island. If they decide to build a bridge to the ACC it would be a lifeline.

Our planning should not include ND. And WVU does nothing for us on a
national scale.

ACC programs. As mentioned in the OP, games between WV and several of the better ACC football programs will garner more interest than games with the current weaker programs.

I'm not opposed to adding WVU. And never have been. But the ACC has bigger
problems now that adding WVU isn't gonna solve. And if the ACC passed over WVU all these times now, I doubt adding them now is going to help any. And think about this: the ACC just took the Miami-VT annual game away. I'm sure they don't give a damn about VT-WVU. And they aren't going to add them just to rekindle the Pitt-WVU rivalry. And those teams can play OOC every year if they want to.

if the PAC and B12 can get together a descent group of teams. We are staring at being 4th in the pecking order and pretty much obsolete.

Notre Dame is the abusive boyfriend the ACC keeps coming back to.
