Good stuff about payouts in the PAC 12 versus the Big 12 and possible Big 12 expansion.
Just because in some other article B1G Commissioner Warren says they are "not aggressively pursuing expansion" to me doesn't mean expansion is completely off the board due to the fact conferences no longer "aggressively pursue" new members anyway due to legal reasons, they allow potential new schools to come and stand on their Welcome Mat and request an application form. Therefore, so what he says they're not "aggressively pursuing" new members.
Also, this article says the PAC 12 got about $33 million in their most recent payday but I read somewhere they only got $19.8 million due to only playing part of the football season during that Covid mess.

They are making sure no legal challenges to them for destroying a conference.
They all have done their due diligence and know who they want and already have their rights partner if the twigger is pulled .
They officially be waiting for wash oregon cal and stanford to one announce they are leaving the pac 12 and then have them submit an inquiry - boom.
Same for arizona ariz state col and utah to big 12
Wash st and oregon st would have no legal challenges and left behind…

The P-10's issue is they're out on the west coast, and there are very few replacements that bring television eyes.
The B12 lost it's two most successful programs, but at least they can bring in quality teams. They aren't on Big TX and OU's level, but they're pretty good.
For all of the hate the SEC received, their impact was far less than what the B1X is doing to the P10. Basically when they are done, it will be nothing but ashes of the former conference. The only thing that will remain in the "conference of champions" will be a footnote in the history books.

I know all of us want to be judge and jury and no need to do anything however. The Attorney's job is NOT to say the case is good or bad, but prevent the CLIENT to be subject to extensive legal wrangling in the court system and insure alot of expensive legal fees. All I'm saying is not if the case has merit or not but rather, the client (Big 10) wants to make sure to minimize attorney costs and risks that are unnecessary . They want most their gained revenue to go to the schools not to legal fees.
Also corporately, in Public Relations, the Big 10 wants to present "corporately; that the conference is all about execellence on academic and athletic excellence and any school that are interested' may come to the tent" and the Big 10 is not about destroying conferences... (I know this is all bs, but thats' how the corporate big 10 is doing this).
