WBGV 09/20/23 03:53 PM ET
After criticisms, they have changed their formula. Which is why there is
wwhokie1 09/20/23 06:06 PM ET
Regardless of what you think about he rankings, they still matter.
tarheelblue 09/20/23 04:24 PM ET
I think most faculty members at most institutions know about the ranking
WBGV 09/20/23 04:54 PM ET
You're underestimating how much they matter.
tarheelblue 09/20/23 05:06 PM ET
I probably am underestimating their use, but I think that factors like
WBGV 09/20/23 05:45 PM ET
They matter for sure, people naturally want to brag about stuff like that
fsghokie 09/21/23 10:45 AM ET
There are many factors, but rankings are often a deciding factor.
tarheelblue 09/20/23 06:04 PM ET
Any assistance by our ACC comrades with AAU group be be appreciative
Mercury 09/20/23 02:06 PM ET
It’s highly unlikely the VT will ever be considered for AAU membership
WBGV 09/20/23 05:31 PM ET
Does AAU member GA Tech have a med school?
Old Line Hokie 09/21/23 12:12 AM ET
Do you know vt has a medical school
Mercury 09/20/23 09:49 PM ET
Penn State’s School of Medicine primary campus is in Hershey PA. **
WBGV 09/20/23 11:10 PM ET
STILL NOT STATE COLLEGE**
Mercury 09/23/23 09:49 AM ET
The location of Nebraska’s Medical school was an issue for AAU membership.
WBGV 09/20/23 10:32 PM ET
Where do you get that the U Va medical center is not on campus?
RJHokie 09/20/23 09:54 PM ET
Is the HOO campus in the city or county.
Atlee Hokie 09/20/23 10:23 PM ET
U Va is considered to be in Albemarle County even though
RJHokie 09/20/23 10:45 PM ET
How in the world did USF get 75% of the member's approval?
EDGEMAN 09/20/23 07:31 PM ET
Membership in the AAU is by invitation only and is based on factors that

In state rankings of national universities.
J-Dub 09/20/23 01:13 PM ET
Liberty was still over-ranked **
Vippie1 09/20/23 01:50 PM ET
Liberty gets no respect. Regent ranks higher. Ouch.
Truthahn 09/20/23 03:15 PM ET
Known frauds apparently aren’t recognized in the rankings. 😁**
RJHokie 09/20/23 05:17 PM ET
I'm sure Liberty is crying all the way to the bank.**
tarheelblue 09/20/23 04:21 PM ET
The ranking is up because USNWR changed the criteria**
CrystalCoveHokie 09/20/23 12:56 PM ET
I think Florida State was around 130 before they joined the ACC.
Sunsetunderground 09/20/23 10:56 AM ET
For that reason, I thought Louisville would jump, I do think if we got WVU
Stech 09/20/23 01:32 PM ET
WVU is in a world of hurt right now
I85Hokie 09/21/23 08:41 AM ET
So Louisville gets 1 vote 🤣**
Stech 09/21/23 10:17 PM ET
WVU is required to accept anyone that graduates from a WV High School
Sunsetunderground 09/20/23 01:54 PM ET
I think it would be fun to invite WVU, just to see Stanford and California'
wwhokie1 09/20/23 06:10 PM ET
Are the red-headed stepchildren (Calford and SMU) even allowed to vote?**
WBGV 09/20/23 11:54 PM ET
Not until next summer**
tarheelblue 09/21/23 01:49 PM ET
Yep SMU joins July 1 and Stanford and Cal August 1.**
Stech 09/23/23 11:17 PM ET
WVU is ranked 216, which isn't that far away from Louisville's ranking**
tarheelblue 09/20/23 06:59 PM ET
That ship sailed a long time ago
Millpoint 09/20/23 02:47 PM ET
B.S. WVU would join the ACC today if they had that offer.
Hardcore_Hokie 09/20/23 04:05 PM ET
NO, How many times does a school get a no before they have a middle finger
Big12 guy 09/20/23 10:25 PM ET
Cincy and UCF are much higher ranked than Louisville
I85Hokie 09/21/23 11:20 AM ET
At the time, Louisville was clearly the better choice. UCF didn't have a
Big12 guy 09/21/23 12:01 PM ET
No we won’t.
Millpoint 09/20/23 07:07 PM ET
too late now. There's a new GOR in place for Big XII. The ACC should have
reestuart 09/20/23 05:30 PM ET
There’s no “too late now” with WVU to the ACC
Hardcore_Hokie 09/20/23 05:55 PM ET
The Black Diamond VT vs WVU should be a staple annually at Redskins Field
Sunsetunderground 09/20/23 03:59 PM ET
🤨
Jaster 09/20/23 09:28 AM ET
Nebraska is ranked 159. The B1G is probably unhappy about that.**
tarheelblue 09/20/23 12:09 PM ET
That and they are bad in football.**
Truthahn 09/20/23 03:08 PM ET
Louisville kept FSU and Clemson from going to the Big 12.
Sunsetunderground 09/20/23 10:27 AM ET
Louisville looked awesome coming into the ACC.
Truthahn 09/20/23 03:10 PM ET
It was either going to be them or UConn**
tarheelblue 09/20/23 04:23 PM ET
Yeah, Maryland
