I was listening to Dennis Dodd on XM College Radio

and his take was all this posturing is pointless. His sources all say neither the B1G or SEC is interested. So what's the point of leaving is you don't have a landing pad. He also pointed out that a lot of private equity want something like a 30% ROI.
