I'm no expert either. But if it's about football, I can't see any way how

they are above us. But I think the other things that you mentioned (basketball, academic prestige, AAU membership) are in their favor. Maybe the Power 2 feel that UVa's "body of work" justifies taking them over us in spite of the football gap. BTW, sooner or later it's going to come down to WHO watches and attends games and HOW do these fans respond to advertising/spend their money (consumer habits). And if it ever boils down to that, VT is in good shape. Our alums make good money and they are tuned in to college football...and like to buy stuff. I think all this today about cable subscribers and being in large states and lots of states is a house of cards. It isn't based on the true market, but it's a bit of a niche that was found to make money off of people who don't consume your product. ** Edited by Maroon Baboon at 7/20/2022, 12:18:11 PM
