Because staying in “middle tier” would hurt other VT sports

The likelihood of a school from either the SEC or B1G coming in and offering our current baseball or basketball coaches more money to leave will increase by staying in the “middle tier.” Losing good coaches would negatively impact other VT sports. In my opinion, we have a better shot at winning a national championship in other team sports.
