In this scenario, the B12-ACC "best" produce a 20-24 team conference. Part of them combining would be under the AQ 16-team CFP where the SEC gets 4, B10 gets 4, and this combo would get 4 (though the combo would need ND to secure the 4 AQs). Would people prefer the ACC name stand around w/ B12 schools joining ACC, B12 name staying w/ ACC schools going to B12, or would a "new" conference get formed to incorporate a different name? If it would happen, I think whatever way that allows the fewest lawsuits would win out.
