What if a back channel deal was struck between the B1G, SEC and Mag 7 that would make all parties happy. First assume these stipulations. 1. All of the Mag 7 were all acceptable to the P2. 2. 8 votes are needed to dissolve the ACC (but vote must happen before Cal, Stanford and SMU join). 3. FSU insists on going to the B1G. 4. SEC insists on having UNC, and UNC is fine with that. 5. ND is a NO vote and will stay independent no matter what. 6. No other ACC school will vote YES unless it has a P2 invite. One more ACC school (not ND) would need to be added to the deal. This school would have to be acceptable to at least one of the two P2s. 1. If the above were to occur, what would be the 8th ACC team to make it the Mag 8? 2. Where would the other 6 members of the Mag 8 land along with FSU to the B1G and UNC to the SEC. By the way, it does not have to be an even 4 and 4 split, but I assume that makes more sense. Anyway, have at it.
