Will any current P2 teams get "kicked"?

Seems crazy to me we could get left out in part because a number of teams just happened to be in the right conference at the right time. Those teams being Rutgers, Maryland, Purdue, Indiana, Northwestern, Minnesota, Nebraska, Mississippi State, Vandy, Missouri, Kentucky, etc.

Predict where schools would go in this hypothetical scenario (B1G/SEC/Mag7)

I would think Duke or GT is the 8th

Thanks. And solid answer.

Yep I went back and forth on Miami
HwoodHokie 03/30/24 01:36 PM ET
I'm also thinking that the SEC might not want to give over that recruiting
Maroon Baboon 03/30/24 01:41 PM ET
B1G and SEC will expand

Diehard Hokie 03/30/24 08:08 AM ET
Never heard that one
INSIDE99 03/30/24 01:15 PM ET
Not in the near term, and probably not in the intermediate term...
EDGEMAN 03/30/24 09:03 AM ET
keep in mind that ESPN could decide tomorrow not to extend
daveinop 03/29/24 08:46 PM ET
Could you envision Syracuse in The PAC? Not likely. Not impossible.
33laszlo99 03/29/24 11:20 PM ET
They may, but that wouldn’t make much sense
Marooned 03/29/24 09:57 PM ET
The GOR and the ESPN contract are two separate contracts. If ESPN chooses
wwhokie1 03/29/24 09:44 PM ET
the purpose of the GOR is to carry out the ESPN contract
daveinop 03/30/24 01:57 PM ET
They are still separate contracts. Ending one does not end the
wwhokie1 03/30/24 02:44 PM ET
totally get your point but
daveinop 03/30/24 05:02 PM ET
But a serious cut in funding could either be a way to break the contract...

Which schools are you assuming are in the Mag-7?**
tarheelblue 03/29/24 08:11 PM ET
UNC, FSU, NCSt, Mia, VT, UVa, Clemson
Maroon Baboon 03/29/24 08:16 PM ET
So what happens to the ACC auto bids to the playoffs/NCAAs & bowl tie ins?
Marooned 03/29/24 09:43 PM ET
Lose it
GALOISGROUP 04/01/24 01:50 PM ET
Georgia Tech or Duke might get some interest from the B1G
tarheelblue 03/29/24 08:18 PM ET
No P2 league is taking on a 30k seat football stadium with ~15k attendance**
hokieZ71 03/29/24 09:38 PM ET
Duke's football stadium capacity is 40k, which is more than Vanderbilt
tarheelblue 03/29/24 09:51 PM ET
If Vanderbilt was on the outside now, they would never get invited in. **
wwhokie1 03/30/24 02:52 PM ET
Maybe. But Vandy and Northwestern have staked safe haven…
